Koala Kash
A laid-back, low-volatility gumtree slot full of frequent small wins.
Theme and story
Koala Kash is our gentlest game, set high in a eucalyptus canopy on a lazy summer afternoon. A sleepy koala is hoarding gumnuts, and the kookaburras, wombats and platypus below are all keen to help themselves. The illustration style is soft watercolour, the sound design is mostly birdsong and wind in the leaves, and the pace is deliberately relaxed.
How the base game plays
Koala Kash runs on a 5x3 grid with 20 fixed paylines. The Koala, Kookaburra and Wombat are the premium symbols, with Platypus, Gumnut, Eucalyptus Leaf and royals as lower pays. Koala wilds land stacked on reels two, three and four, which is where many of the game's frequent small wins come from. Every Gumnut that lands is also collected into a meter above the reels.
The bonus features
When the gumnut meter fills, the koala wakes up and drops between three and six extra wilds onto the next spin. Three Gum Blossom scatters award ten free spins, during which:
- Every payline pays both left to right and right to left
- Reel one also carries stacked koala wilds
- Three more scatters retrigger ten extra spins
Neither feature produces huge numbers on its own, but together they keep the demo-credit balance moving steadily.
The maths, explained simply
Koala Kash has a theoretical RTP of 95.9%. If you are unsure how that number works over time, start with what RTP actually means. Low volatility means wins arrive often – roughly one spin in 2.6 – but they are mostly modest, and the maximum is capped at 1,000x. It is a good choice for anyone who wants a long, smooth demo session rather than big swings, and a useful way to learn how paylines, wilds and scatters fit together before trying something more volatile.
Designer notes
Not every slot online needs to chase enormous multipliers. Koala Kash was built as a palate cleanser in our catalogue, and it became the studio's go-to demo for new partners because it explains the basics so clearly.
